GSAM Quantitative Investment Strategies Product Strategy (Japanese language skills required) Quantitative Investment Strategies manages over $120 billion across individual stock, country/currency and fixed income portfolios. The QIS group uses extensive analysis of financial data to implement quantitative investment strategies with a disciplined approach to risk control. The investment process integrates three major functions: research, portfolio implementation and product strategy. Research develops models that enhance international and domestic stock selection, style timing, industry rotation, portfolio optimization and trading efficiency. Portfolio implementation builds and rebalances portfolios that optimally balance stocks' risk, return and trading costs. Product strategy is responsible for communicating the investment process to potential clients, analyzing portfolio performance for existing clients, and designing new products. The product strategy group works closely with other areas in the firm including institutional and private wealth sales, risk and performance analytics, marketing communications and compliance. A product strategy analyst is instrumental in strategically positioning QIS products to clients and the sales force. Principal Responsibilities: * Preparing marketing materials, prospect pitch books and portfolio reviews for the sales force * Writing market and portfolio commentaries * Preparing portfolio characteristics and attribution * Conducting competitive analyses, peer group analyses and market research * Responding to queries about market and portfolio results * Collaborating on research publications * Developing and maintaining databases for key portfolio and team statistics * Generating monthly/quarterly/annual client reports Desired Profile * Basic knowledge of Finance/Statistics * Reading, writing and speaking basic Japanese required * Interest in the asset management business * Logical, with good attention to detail and accuracy * Hard working * Data analysis skills * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written * Willingness and ability to work in a team environment * Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills * Computer programming experience is helpful, not required * Sense of humor and maturity * Ability to work well under time frame pressure Experience 2 - 5 Years Link: Goldman Sachs |
