Job Description

Providing assistance to gather and document system and functional requirements.
* Developing detailed design documents that conform to the system and functional
requirements.
* Assistance in the testing and commissioning of Data warehousing projects.
* Maintain, enhance and support implemented systems.
* Carrying out systems engineering design in accordance with Systems
Engineering procedures as directed by a Project Engineer or Senior Systems
Engineer
* Preparation of user reference and training documentation.
* Design and development of new systems to comply with industry standards.
* To establish the business intelligence & data warehousing practice for scoping,
estimating, planning, development, delivery, tools & technologies, architecture,
delegates the meetings, day-day issues, etc.
* Perform full SDLC of execution data warehousing & business intelligence
projects with various stages such as due diligence, gathering requirements,
analysis, design, development & testing.
* Develop intellectual capability such as performance mgt tool, POC & Tool
comparisons.

Desired Candidate Profile

* Knowledge of working in at least some of the following environment
Oracle, PostgreSQL, Informatica, DataStage, BusinessObjects, Cognos,
Microstrategy, SAS, Microsoft projects, Windows NT/2000, Solaris 5.10,
Linux(RHEL 3 or higher, SAP)
* Exposure in conversing with global clients.
* Excellent leadership and business driving skills.
* Knowledge of working on Oracle production databases.
* Knowledge and use of Linux and Solaris. Advanced administration knowledge in
Linux/Solaris environment would be preferred.
* Knowledge and use of bash and bourne shells.
* Experience of working on UNIX environment
* Knowledge and use of POSTGRESQL preferred.
* Should have good interpersonal and communication skills and should be a team
player.
* Experience in conversing with global clients will be an added advantage.
The candidate must have about 5-12 years of professional experience in
IT with 3-6 years experience in Data warehousing & ETL and BI tools
